Opening on May 10, 2019, the new bio-pic entitled “Tolkien” takes a unique look at the life of the popular Catholic author. The official synopsis describes what the movie will include:
TOLKIEN explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels.
The life of Tolkien has greatly influenced our company, Voyage Comics & Publishing, and we look forward to see how Tolkien’s Catholic faith is portrayed in this upcoming movie.
