Saints born and raised in the USA!

This week I wanted to highlight one of the primary ways we live out our mission of inspiring young people to live heroic lives of virtue. We accomplish this goal through the creation of entertaining comics that feature the lives of holy men and women.

More specifically, we’ve made it a priority to tell the stories of saintly men and women who were born and raised in the USA!

Living in the USA, it can be tempting to think that in order to become a saint, you have to live in Europe, or become a missionary in some far-off country. This is largely because most of the saints we know about were not born here.

However, that is changing!

The United States is FULL of saints, who can inspire us to strive after a life of heroic virtue. What can be fascinating to both old and young alike is how someone who walked the same streets you walk overcame many difficulties to become a saint!

It reminds us that we can follow in their footsteps and that holiness is within reach!

American Saints and Causes

We’ve only just begun to work our way through the list of American saints and causes for canonization. There are surprisingly so many holy men and women who deserve to be known.

One apostolate which has a similar mission to ours is James Kovacs’ website, American Saints and Causes. James has made it a priority to compile all the known resources about a specific saint or cause for canonization and to list it on his website. I highly encourage you to check it out. You may find a holy man or woman who lived in your hometown!

Why the High Price?

Some people have asked us over the years why our comics are so expensive, being $6.99 or $7.99 for an individual comic. They remember the days when comics were $0.25!

Well, a little known fact, which we are working to make better known, is that a large percentage of your purchase goes to a charitable organization!

This specifically applies to comics that feature an American saint.

For example, the following comics directly support the corresponding organization:

Multiple dollars of every purchase of these comics goes straight to these organizations!

So not only are you inspiring your son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, niece, nephew, etc. to lead a life of holiness, but you are ALSO supporting charitable organizations that make a difference in the world!

It’s a WIN, WIN, WIN!

Our goal is to some day feature every American saint with a comic!

Please pray that we can meet that goal in the future!
